EQUIP Classes Start
September 8, 2019
EQUIP (Sunday morning classes) begin on at both campuses on Sunday, September 8.
Here are the classes available this fall:
9am at WHEATON and WARRENVILLE :
Challenges of Reading an Ancient Scripture in a Modern World
If you have ever faced challenges in reading Scripture this is the class for you! Led by a teaching team under the guidance of Dr. John Walton, this class will take you through the book Misreading Scripture With Western Eyes by Richards and O’Brien.
You will explore how to become a better reader and interpreter of scripture. This class will look at cultural “blinders” and how they shape our understanding of scripture. This will be an opportunity to dig deeper into God’s word in community.
In Wheaton, this class will meet in the Foundation Room.
In Warrenville, this class will meet in the sanctuary.
11am at WHEATON:
Intentional Relationships in the Kingdom of God
Led by Dr. Christine Colon, Kelsey Brooks, and Dr. Eric Brown
In an increasingly isolated and lonely society, what does it look like to build healthy relationships within the church? Regardless of where people are at in life – celibate, married, married with kids, post-married – what does it look like to be in relationship with others, leaning into the community that God calls us to be? In this class we will be exploring principles that will help all of us grow in deep, meaningful connection with others around us.
This class will meet in Rooms 104-106
