August 4 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
“Wrestle” is a gathering aimed at:
- Creating opportunities within the church to dialogue about social issues and to reason together about how God would have us respond, and
- Mobilization of believers towards Christ-centered civic engagement.
The first session centers on educating ourselves on a given issue and then the subsequent session(s) will focus on discussion and wrestling with what we’ve learned in light of our faith as a community. It will be held on Sunday, August 4 at 1:30-3pm in the Living Water Room at the Wheaton campus.
Our speakers will be Kendra H.M. Scheuerlein and Kelli Fennel, associate attorneys specializing in immigration and nationality (including asylum, U visa, DACA, etc.). They have worked at the borders and have first-hand stories of families who are seeking asylum.
Come ready to learn and ask questions about immigration policy and practice. Invite your friends!
