HOW DID YOU SEE GOD THIS WEEK AS YOU FOLLOWED HIM?

WHAT DID GOD SAY IN HIS WORD?

Opening Question:

At what point in your life were you most consistently paying attention to God in his Word? What was good about that? Were there any challenges with that?

The people of God were called to make God’s Word permeate their lives in the passage from this Sunday. Let’s read it again:

4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Reflect Together:

Couldn’t the verse have just said “read the Bible everywhere”? What difference does it make that we get this big list?

Does this passage tell us just to read the Bible? What else does it tell us to do with God’ word?

WHAT DID GOD SAY TO ME THROUGH HIS WORD?

Who has showed and told you the Word of God? How did you see it in their lives?

How are you showing and telling the Word of God in your life?

WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT?

What are steps that you can take so that you might show and tell the Word of God more to others around you?
