With extensive experience in the immigrant church, Dr. Mitch Kim desires to raise up multicultural people as Kingdom workers in a globalized world. He helped to establish the Joshua Generation, a ministry to connect and equip youth workers to reach their generation for Christ. In 2010, he participated in the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town, South Africa. He coauthored with G. K. Beale God Dwells Among Us: Expanding Eden to the Ends of the Earth, a biblical theology of mission from Creation to New Creation, and published Genesis: A 12-Week Study (Knowing the Bible). He has also taught in the graduate school at Wheaton College. Mitch lives in Naperville with his wife, Eunsil, and their 3 kids: Elise, Ana, & Eden.
Cheryl BairdPastor of Spiritual Formation
Cheryl grew up in California but moved to Illinois after attending Wheaton College. She has an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton and an M.A. in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is a licensed professional counselor and serves as the Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Cheryl and her husband, Brian, live in Wheaton and they have 3 kids: David, Chrissy, & Nikki.
Joyce DalrymplePastor of Discipleship and Connections
Joyce Koo Dalrymple joined staff in October 2019 and has served as a minister of women and discipleship at Reconcile Church, a racially diverse church plant in Duluth, Georgia. She has also served on staff at Perimeter Church in the women’s ministry, leading the working moms and newcomers groups. Joyce has a passion for discipling women, teaching God’s Word, and connecting people in the Body of Christ. She also has a heart for racial reconciliation and for raising up and supporting adoptive and fostering families in the church. Prior to her calling in ministry, she was an attorney for 8 years and a journalist for 2 years. She received a BA from Stanford University in English and political science, a JD from Boston College, and a MDiv from Metro Atlanta Seminary. Joyce and her husband Tim live in Wheaton with their three daughters, Sophia, Sarah, and Hannah.
Steve HandsWarrenville Campus Pastor
Steve joined the church staff in January, 2014. He has received a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School. He and his wife, Jessica, live in Warrenville with their children Elijah and Mary.
Stephen HongPastor Of College And Young Adult Ministries
Stephen joined the staff in July of 2016 after having served six years as a campus staff work with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Northern Illinois University. He is passionate about seeing college students become disciples of Christ, and has a special heart to reach those who are lost and broken. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010 with a B.A. in Psychology and is currently a full-time student at Trinity International University working on his Masters in Divinity. He has been married to his wife, Micah, since 2013.
James LeeYouth Pastor
James has been serving in youth ministry since 2001, primarily in the immigrant church. His passion is to see youth know and experience Jesus Christ as they have opportunities to exercise their faith in evangelism, service, and leadership. He majored in English-Literature at Loyola University in Chicago. He is currently pursuing ordination with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. James and his wife, Sandy, are the proud parents of Ruth and Karsten, and they live in Wheaton.
Reggie RamosPastor of Worship & Communications
Reggie joined the staff in January of 2016. Having served as a worship leader for over 20 years and in pastoral leadership for over 15 years, he has a passion to serve the local church as a shepherd through music ministry and is deeply committed to helping others grow in the knowledge of God, experience His love, and respond to Him in authentic worship. He studied math at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and studied theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is married to Anissa, and they have 4 children: Isaiah, Lydia, Nathan, & Melody.
Kathy WoodsPastor of Children's and Family Ministries
Kathy joined the Wellspring staff in April of 2019, after having joyfully ministered with children for seven years at Christ Church Oak Brook. She loves to learn from children, as they are so open and eager to experience more of God. Kathy is excited to walk alongside children as they get to know and love Jesus and she’s grateful to partner with parents in this journey of faith. She graduated with a Masters in Christian Formation and Ministry from Wheaton Graduate School and served for about seventeen years in Bible Study Fellowship. Prior to her calling into ministry, she enjoyed making a child’s visit to the dentist, super fun! Kathy lives in Wheaton and enjoys her two grown children, Emma and Luke and her grand dog, Koa.
